Stoked has released a list of achievements meant to help you up your snowboarding skills and boost your Xbox Gamerscore. Achievements, points and general Xbox bragging rights can be earned mostly by winning events and taking photos of the scenery and other riders. In the tradition of slowly meting out information on this game, below is only a partial list of achievements. There are five "secret" achievements deemed too exciting to tell us about just yet. In all there are 25 achievements, and the possibility of 1000 points.

Get ready to ride! Destineer has announced that Stoked, the open-world, backcountry snowboarding video game exclusively for the Xbox360, has gone gold and will be shipping on February 24. So this game might finally be released. But after numerous delays, I'll believe it when I see it.

Telltale Games has just announced that their much anticipated upcoming episodic game, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, will mark Telltale's first foray onto the Xbox Live Arcade, bringing "all-new stories, character, and contraptions" to both the Xbox360 and PC this spring. The game features a new direct control scheme for gamepads, designed specifically for Xbox360, as well as the same classic gameplay capabilities we've seen in Sam & Max and Strong Bad's Cool Games for PC.

The press release promises that, "Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures will deliver all of the humor and charm of the duo's popular animated films, with a monthly series of brand new interactive stories in Telltale's unique episodic format. Alternating between the roles of quirky inventor Wallace and his faithful canine companion Gromit, players embark on their own style of entrepreneurial business ventures, tinker with creative contraptions, and interact with an ever-expanding cast of fun and endearing characters in each episode, immersing fans in the stories and interactions with the colorful personalities of West Wallaby Street."

It won the 2008 PAX 10 Audience Choice Award and was a 2008 Indie Game Award Finalist, and now The Maw is ready to devour the consumer market. The game is finally here on the Xbox Live Arcade. Twisted Pixel's first original IP title is ready to gobble us up left and right.

"The pinnacle of alien evolution, Maw is a cowardly fat blob concerned mostly with snacking and lounging. He can, however, absorb the traits of anything he eats, is virtually indestructible, and can grow to unlimited size. If he wasn't a danger to all life in the universe, he'd make the perfect pet. In this action/adventure game, he's the best friend of our hero Frank, and only by working together can Maw eat their way to freedom."

Due to some unfortunate technical difficulties with our site, video hosting is currently unavailable, but we've got a bunch of The Maw gamplay videos on our YouTube site. Check them out, and subscribe to our channel to see our other great gaming vids.

Stoked Delayed... Again PDF Print E-mail

"Get Sponsored and Become a Snowboarding Media Legend in Stoked from Destineer."

Bad news for all those 'Huckers' and 'Carvers' out there. In a surprising and less-than-confidence-inspiring move, Destineer has sent out a press release the day before their upcoming snowboarding game Stoked was set to hit stores, delaying the game's release yet again. Previously slated for a November 25th 2008 release (and then until today, January 20th 2009), it's now planned to arrive in stores on an as-yet-unannounced date in February 2009. They site delays in testing, writing: "Update: Stoked  is a highly anticipated title which has undergone aggressive play testing by Destineer to provide fans with the best play experience possible. As a result, Stoked will now be in stores next month." But I'm getting dubious.

Each time the game is delayed Destineer sends out new information to try to increase anticipation and alleviate fears that this game is riddled with problems and will be a colossal disappointment if it ever comes out at all. This time it's the inclusion of 'fame points' and the ability to take in-game photos and appear in in-game snowboarding films and magazines, thus rewarding you with notoriety and fame. These new features are demonstrated in a pack of 26 new screens, which look great, but I can't help feeling that they're published to try to prove that this game even exists.
